Ascot Music School Nursery and Pre Prep Manager


  • Ascot Music School is launching its own Music Nursery in Autumn 2023 in the heart of Ascot.


  • The Nursery and Pre-Prep Manager will be passionate about Early Years Child Learning and Development and will lead the day to day provision of a well-established setting, following its takeover in Autumn 2023.


  • This position is suitable for someone with a minimum of Level 3 (Approved) Early Years qualification and a minimum of 2 years of early years’ experience who is ready to take the next step with commitment, energy and the ability to build an exceptional setting.

 


Role Details:


  • Full Time


  • Monday to Friday (between the hours of 7.30am-6.00pm)


  • 51 weeks per year (including 5.6 weeks of Annual Leave)


  • Salary: £30.000-£33.000


  • Provisional Start Date-November 2023


What we are looking for from the suitable candidate?


The role holder is likely to hold most or all the following skills and attributes.


  • Deeply committed to the provision of excellent early years education.


  • Knowledgeable about early years education with a thirst for continual professional development. A desire to develop exceptional quality of early years education provision at the setting.


  • Strong communication and engagement skills with children and adults alike. As able to produce clear written communication through identified channels including a weekly parents’ update, as they are through verbal communication (face to face – 1:1 and in groups, and by telephone)


  • Ability to develop community awareness of the Nursery and the Pre-Prep via social media and other channels.


  • A positive role model for those with whom they work, be this children or adult.


  • Clear thinking with an ability to stay calm under pressure or in an emergency.


  • A willingness to build a supportive network for the express purpose of developing the setting and increasing opportunities for learning for its children.



  • A depth of expertise relating to supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

Music Teachers (Part Time)


Ascot Music School Teacher-QTS (Fixed term until July 2024)- Piano and Vocal Teacher- September 2023


Role Details:


  • Piano and Vocal Music Teacher (fix term until July 2024)


  • 18 hours a week (10 hours during the week and 9.00am-5.00pm on Saturdays)


  • 33 weeks per year


  • Salary: £29,344-£40,083 Pro Rata (£23.31-£31.84 per hour) inclusive of Annual Leave and Pension Contributions


  • Start Date: September 2023



What we are looking for from the suitable candidate?


  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Piano and Vocal Teacher to start in September 2023.
  • Someone who is grade 8 or above educated pianist and a competent vocalist able to inspire children of different ages ranging from 2–18-year-olds.
  • You will be an experienced educator able to support children of learning style from young beginners to established learners.
  • Ideally you will have a teaching qualification or if you are currently working towards it, we would like to hear from you too.
  • The job is fixed term with an opportunity to increase hours both during the term of the job as well as beyond the current fixed term contract.
