Auditions

         

To be considered for an audition to join Ascot Music School, you must first apply.

Nursery and Pre Prep Auditions:

• Students are asked to prepare a song to sing.
• They will also be asked to perform simple skills such as clapping the beat or singing back notes performed by the auditioneer.

Academy Candidates:

• Academy students are asked to play 2 pieces of their choice on their first instrument.
• They will also be asked to perform some aural and sightreading questions.
• We will also want to know about their learning goals and reasons for applying to join Ascot Music School.

The candidates will be interviewed by an audition panel consisting of the Director of Music and relevant teachers.

Following the audition candidates and their parents will be given the tour of the school.

Following a successful audition, the candidate will be either offered a place (normally within 2 weeks of the audition) or offered a place on the waiting list.
